Since I’ve been busy and have had a lot going on, I haven’t delighted you with my usual weekly movie reviewsl..HA! Soo in the past couple of weeks I’ve seen 2 great comedies Going the Distance starring Drew Barrymore & Justin Long and Easy A with (to name a few) Emma Stone, Amanda Bynes, & Penn Badgley…Both were hilarious!!
In Going the Distance, Drew Barrymore plays a journalist intern who falls in love with the newly single Justin Long..In a nutshell it was really cute to see the two of them act together, given their on/off again relationship in real life. For what could’ve been a HUGE bomb, the comedy was on point and the supporting cast members were a big + (Christina Applegate) ..Also seeing Justin’s bare behind in it was SO worth the $13 admission!! :P
..and finally I got to see the long awaited, highly anticipated movie (for me) Easy A!!!! From the first time I saw the trailer, it screamed the NEW Mean Girls!! So finally this past Sat I got to see it w/ my bestie Kim!! …honestly it was exactly what I pictured, but not as good as Mean Girls..but could anything top MG?? ..sadly no. The dialogue was really funny and the scenes w/ Amanda Bynes and Emma Stone were the best!! I seriously don’t know why Amanda Bynes has a stick up her ass and claims to have retired from acting and then quickly “unretired” from it..she was amazing in this!! ..she obv can book another job (direct-to-dvd) ..comedies was always her thing! ..Aly Michalka, Lisa Kudrow, and Penn Badgley were also good in it!! They all totes made the movie!! <3
*So I’d def recommend both of these films, Easy A is more generated for teens and Going the Distance is better if you’re into adult humor!!
